An Emergency 24 hour Doctor can be reached via main reception at Sunwing hotel complex which is opposite the Penthouse.
The water is safe to drink, but bottled water is very inexpensive and recommended. We also suggest using bottled water in the kettle as it tastes better with Tea/Coffee etc.
There is a cash dispenser located at the front of the Tamarindos Apartments, and also one across the road at the front of the Sunwing complex.
PLEASE REMEMBER TO ALWAYS SECURE ALL OPEN WINDOWS, DOORS AND SHUTTERS TO AVOID DAMAGE FROM SLAMMING (Yes we lost a glass door again last season!)
There is a Chemist (Farmacia) across the road from the apartments.
Taxis are relatively inexpensive and can be hailed in the street if displaying a green light, or can be ordered from any bar/restaurant etc.
Should you wish to do a tour or excursion you will find plenty of places where these and the coach etc can be booked from (Vanrell is the easiest & nearest place).
Car hire is widely available, Vanrell are the best and most flexible + special discount rates too! Vanrell is located on the main road going away from the Marina aprox 200 yards from the Penthouse on the far side of the road.
Airport Taxis - Emma can book one to collect you from the Airport simply contact her for more details.
We ask all our guests to vacate the Penthouse by 12 Noon on the Saturday of departure however your bags can be left inside the Penthouse in the hallway till your departure to the Airport. We work on a flexible approach to change overs and ask all arriving and departing guests to do the same in this matter.
Our Spanish Maid Carol services the Penthouse from 2pm to 5pm on the Saturday of your arrival, please try to avoid being there during these 3 hours where possible.
Air Conditioning - please do not leave this on with the doors/windows open, or when going out as it may cause the system to overheat.
Please note, the Spanish electrical system is not in any way like the UK system and as with any property in Spain, you cannot run loads of appliances at the same time because the system will simply blow and require an electrician to be called out. Please have respect for the electrical system and not overload it. Simply follow these guidelines below and there will be no problems.
The simple rule of thumb is if you are using the cooker for example, don’t have the tumble dryer on, and only turn on the Aircon/heating in the rooms you are in at the time. i.e. pop the Aircon/heating on in the bedroom 20 mins before bed not leave it running for hours unnecessarily.

Alcudia is in the north of the Island, and is considered the premier resort in Mallorca. It is truly a beautiful part of the world, with fabulous safe beaches, amazing restaurants, great entertainment etc. Hundreds of families have enjoyed wonderful holidays at the Penthouse, with many returning year after year. Please just use common sense whilst at the Penthouse and I’m sure you too will have a fabulous time.
